Idemitsu Honda Ten10 Racing racers dominated the Indian National Road Racing Championship Round 3 in the PS165 and PS300 classes taking top spots on the podium in both classes.
Rajiv Sethu#80 continued his dominance in the PS165 class making it a habit to demolish his competitors in the run down to the finish line in the last lap with heart stopping differences of .05 and .010 of a second in Race 1 and Race 2 respectively. After running tactical 6 lap and 8 lap races Rajiv positioned himself perfectly to take the competition by surprise and giving spectators an exciting finish to the race.
With 4 out of 4 race wins since his return to the Nationals, Rajiv has taken over the championship lead with 100 points and his current form looks confident of extending his lead in to Round 4.
Another Championship contender from Idemitsu Honda Ten10 Racing, Sarath Kumar #69 who had a difficult race in Round 2 managed to finish third in both races to keep his contention for the prize alive.
Meanwhile in the PS 300 class, Round 3 saw sheer dominance by Idemitsu Honda Ten10 Racing riders taking all 3 rostrums of the podium with Anish Shetty #44 leading the pack in both races and Abhishek Vasudev #36 who despite a leg injury sustained the weekend and managed to finish second followed by Aravind #13. While Anish takes the lead in the Championship, the team Championship is well under control for Ten10 Racing.
With two more rounds in September to mark the end of the season, the competition will be intense and fight ‘real’ for the Championship and it is expected to go down to the wire in both classes.
